HOME SAFETY
When you're at home and when you're out, keep your doors locked at all times.
When you leave the house, lock the windows and doors of rooms you aren't using.
Allowing strangers into your home should be avoided at all costs.
Don't hand out personal information to strangers over the internet, on social networking sites, or over the phone. If you're not at home or on vacation, don't give out this information to strangers.
Do not remove the batteries or tamper with the smoke alarms since they will warn you if there is smoke on the premises. It is mandatory to have smoke alarms installed if you reside in a rental house, hostel, or hotel. Consult your landlord or real estate agent if your property lacks them.
If you return home to find signs of a break-in (broken window or door lock), call the cops from a safe distance.
